Planners Network NYC’s Annual Disorientation
Planners Network NYC’s Annual Disorientation is a social networking event for progressive planners and community activists. Happy hour begins at 6 p.m. with $1 PBRs and 2-for-1 cocktails. There will also be a screening of Virginie-Alvine Perrette’s short film, Twilight Becomes Night, which follows the stories of five neighborhood stores in New York City and reveals the role that locally-owned businesses play in our individual lives and neighborhoods.

Halloween Storytelling Festival at Brooklyn Lyceum
Halloween Storytelling Festival features storytellers Robin Bady, Gerald Fierst, Jonathan Kruk, and Julia M. Morris. The stories range from witches and pumpkins to true ghost stories and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
Tonight. Runs through October 31. $10, kids under 2 are free. Brooklyn Lyceum, 227 Fourth Avenue.

Sunset Park “Demystifying Zoning” Workshop
In collaboration with the Fifth Avenue Committee, the Center for Urban Pedagogy will present a workshop on zoning changes for Sunset Park. The workshop will be conducted in English and Spanish.

Theatreworks’ high-tech haunted hotel, the Gravesend Inn, returns again. City Tech’s resident theatrical troupe help create this theme-park-quality Halloween attraction.

Executive & Landmarks/Land Use Committees Meeting
Community Board 6’s meeting will consist of a presentation and discussion with various representatives of State and City agencies to provide an update on the redevelopment plans for the Public Place site at Smith and 5th Streets.
