  1. The map above is indeed Phase 1, which was landmarked in 2007. Phase 2 includes some of Crown Heights North’s prime blocks, such as Bergen, Prospect Pl, Park Place, Sterling, St Johns, Lincoln Place, and north side of Eastern Parkway, and other bits and bites. Phase 2 encompasses the largest number of buildings in the entire proposed district, and would include architecturally and historically important row houses, free standing mansions, apartment buildings, churches and public buildings.

If you have questions about landmarking anywhere, attend this meeting and get answers from senior LPC staff, not from conjecture and the rumor mill. Representatives from Lancmarks Conservancy, HUD, HPD, will be on board to talk about their loan and grant programs, and the meeting will be mc’d by a board member of the Historic Districts Council. This meeting is sponsored by the Crown Heights North Association, Inc (CHNA).

This yearly Town Hall event is always well attended, so please get there on time to get a good seat.
