Public Safety Town Hall Meeting
Council Member Letitia James will be holding the Public Safety Town Hall Meeting to address neighborhood safety. Speakers include Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes and staff, Captain Anthony Tasso, 88th Precinct, Captain Alan Abel, 84th Precinct, and Captain Brian McGinn, PSA 3.

Barrio’s Tuesday Night Bingo
Barrio restaurant is launching a weekly event for kids and families, Tuesday Night Bingo. Kids and Families Bingo begins at 6 p.m. while Adult Bingo starts at 8 p.m. Winners will be awarded prizes.

Brooklyn Center for the Urban Environment is holding a forum to discuss the current economic crisis. Panelists include Carl Hum, Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce; Michael Muyot, CRD Analytics; Jennifer Stokes, Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership; and Catherine Bohne, Park Slope Community Bookstore.

Poetry Punch at Brooklyn Reading Works
Brooklyn Reading Works presents Poetry Punch, a fun, celebratory group reading of poets curated by Michele Madigan Somerville. Poets that are reading are Bill Evans, Jeff Wright, Joanna Sit, Ilene Starger, Will Nixon, Louise Crawford, and Michele Madigan Somerville. And of course, there will be punch.
