Funeral for the G Train
The Straphangers Campaign and State Assembly Members Joseph Lentol and Hakeem Jeffries will hold a “mock funeral” for the G train. The MTA is proposing to eliminate the line at all times from the Court Square subway station to Forest Hills-71st Avenue.

Brooklyn Independents: 50 Years of Black Literary History with Amiri Baraka and Ed Bullins
As part of the Brooklyn Public Library’s celebration of Black History Month, authors Amiri Baraka and Ed Bullins will discuss their literary lives. Professor Jeremy Glick from Hunter College will moderate.

Brooklyn Preservation Council Meeting
The Brooklyn Preservation is holding its monthly meeting. On the agenda is the expansion of the Park Slope Historic District, the Bedford-Stuyvesant Historic Districts, the Brooklyn Underground Railroad Federal Network, the Columbus Park Commemoration, and various proposed Brooklyn landmarks.
