Who Mash-Up Reggae
The Coalition to Preserve Reggae Music (CPR) will launch the 2011 Community conversation Series with a forum titled Who Mash-Up Reggae: Reining in the Almshouse Artists. The forum will take a look the role of performers in denigrating the message and the ethos of the genre. Join in on a conversation about the role of professional conduct and personal practices of artists, their teams and how industry officials play in shaping the direction and perception of the art form. How to Fix Your Home and Save on Energy Bills
Sustainable Flatbush will be hosting the second in a series of informational events to promote the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP). This federally-funded program provides home improvements that reduce energy bills by an average of 32%, while at the same time improving health, safety and comfort, all at NO COST to income-eligible homeowners and tenants. Although the Weatherization Assistance Program has existed for over 30 years, it is not well-known or understood. Green Hill Food Co-op General Meeting
