We are very pleased to inform you that the New York City Economic Development Corporation, in cooperation with the Brooklyn Borough President, is seeking expressions of interest for the rehabilitation and reuse of the former Loew’s Kings Theater (the “Kingsâ€) in the heart of Brooklyn—Flatbush.
Built in 1929, the Kings is one of Brooklyn and New York City’s great historic treasures and the City’s only remaining grand movie theater never subdivided. Inside its richly decorated interior, Kings hosted concerts, performances, and films that captured the hearts of generations of New Yorkers, including many who went on to become legends in their own right. For those who visited it in its heyday, the Kings represents the architectural and entertainment glory that lends New York City – and Brooklyn in particular – such power in the American imagination.
