We haven’t seen any of the markets reports just released by the big brokers. Could someone please send them along to us? Thanks.
How long until Brooklyn Properties sues them I wonder? Will the agent have to pay for damages or will Corcoran pay it I wonder? Or maybe both?
Love the write up on Corcoran….They are out of control..
Article says first gated condo community. I believe Sea Gate is mostly private homes, perhaps some condos or co-ops in the mix. Also Sea Gate wasn’t the only gated community in Brooklyn. There were a few others (and at least one gated street) that, obviously, no longer are gated…one street being President Street between Smith & Hoyt, at that time known as Secor Place. I’ve tried researching the history of how the street was changed from Secor to President but came up empty.
Isn’t Sea Gate Bklyn’s first gated community?
Also have to read or listen carefully and just not grab headline. Is the change in price from prior quarter or from 4th quarter prior year? I think down slightly from 3rd quarter 2006 but up from 4th quarter 2005.
If you read NYTimes article – one study does show ‘up’ 5%.
And don’t forget – they are all quoting
‘everage price’… not median price or median per sq ft. foot, breakdown by ‘new’ or existing, condo vs. coop or any other good indicator.
Re: Manhattan prices…This morning, the local FOX 5 news reported that manhattan apartment prices were UP 5% in 2006.
You literally can’t believe anything, I’m afraid.
