The headline for the NY Sun article is highly misleading. No officer would lose a job under this plan, as it involves eliminating positions not filled due to recruitment problems. The article also notes that the base pay may be raised by this summer.
Hopefully the PBA will do a better job of negotiating a deal the next time around. It grows tiresome having them agree to something, only to turn around and complain about it afterwards.
