Yemen, It’s topical.
Thanks everyone for your comments about the picture, it’s hard to go wrong when the park looks so great. This is my 4th or 5th picture used in brownstoner (I just changed my screen name) and it’s always fun to see my pictures on the blog!
totally agree, the italian mix is very odd. I guess they’re trying to stand out in some way.
But honestly, no other Yemeni restaurant comes close to Yemen Cafe.
I’ve had so many great meals there. I was just there last week.
Breakfast / Brunch – if you can imagine brunch in Yemen, is awesome. Eggs and foul (traditional breakfast dish of the Middle East) served with that bread fresh out of the oven…you gotta eat it with your hands.
BRG-
I love Yemeni food, been eating it for most of my life and for over 20 years right on Atlantic Avenue. Agreed on Yemen cafe.
The op started with the biuzarre idea of a Yemeni Italian place.
I’d be the last person to diss Yemeni food.
But this is just bizarre.
I have to chime in here, cause I like Yemeni food.
Best one on Atlantic is Yemen Cafe, across the street from Sahadi, up the stairs.
If you’re a lamb lover, try the roasted lamb, you won’t be disappointed. That’s their speciality. It’s the most ordered dish. The lamb chops are great.
Don’t expect anything fancy decor wise, but the food is wholesome, great portions, tasty to the last bite.
The tea is really good too.
denton…
Its Yemeni ITALIAN ~FUSION~ .
Even the jaded foodies like myself are perplexed by this one.
A Yemeni restaurant coming to Atlantic? There’s a surprise…
I agree with all of those above. One of the best photos. You have quite an eye, megunski.
Beautiful photo!
