Rest in peace Sure. NYC’s finest handstyle writer of the 2000’s.
Re: the Sterling St house. Estate sale means needs LOTS of work (and I know this house; believe me it does). So add that into your calculations. And we don’t need any more absentee investor houses in the nabe, thanks. Someone should buy this house and live on the lower level (BTW, that’s an English basement and not legal for living purposes, so think rec romm down there), while renting out the top.
That story on Bed Stuy businesses is really really really well written.
I hope Table Exquise does not close. It is fantastic. One of the best bakeries in NYC for sure.
Unfortunately, I never get over there. It’s nowhere near our house.
If they were located in Stuy Heights or near Choice they’d probably have more foot traffic and more business. (Not that I live near either one of those either.)
That is awful news to hear about any soldier. There are plenty of young men who go into the military to rehabilitate themselves in society’s eyes; what he did before shouldn’t matter.
