Walk in the Footsteps of Walt Whitman With the Brooklyn Historical Society
If you haven’t yet celebrated the 200th birthday of Walt Whitman you can take a saunter through the Brooklyn he called home with a special walking tour this summer.

If you haven’t yet celebrated the 200th birthday of Walt Whitman you can take a saunter through the Brooklyn he called home with a special walking tour this summer.
The tour, offered in collaboration with The Walt Whitman Project and led by Greg Trupiano and Stefan Killen, will kick off with a salute to the poet and a reading of “Crossing Brooklyn Ferry” before setting off on an inspiring waterfront trek. The trip wraps up with a stop at BHS Dumbo and a look at the waterfront-themed exhibition.

You can choose from one of two dates for your excursion, it is being offered on Saturday, June 15 at 11 a.m. and Monday, July 15 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 and $15 for members.
