  1. Brownstoner–nice interview–totally agree re: boring decorator homes–they are gorgeous, but there’s this anodyne sameness to their style–and about developers and ugly buildings. God, they RUIN blocks!

  2. The Extell proposal was so unimpressive. It failed because it didn’t include an arena. The borough residents clearly want the Brooklyn Nets here and AY is the logical location.

  3. Pathetic, ain’t it, Lisa? How about throw the guy out entirely, and go back to that Extell proposal, which was more money for the city and the MTA and a less-intrusive space over all? Or mightn’t that make too much sense and invlove too much loss of face on the part of certain politicians?

  4. Ooh la la. Not be argumentative, but anyone in NYC who owns any home on any of these house tours is hardly a proletarian. And if you want to see what a professional decorator with an unlimited budget can do, there are plenty of magazines for that — H&G, Architectural Digest, etc.
