omg i just read the article.. summer programs to keep little CF’s off the street is being cut in park slope and forte greene because the neighborhoods arent deemed “poor enough?” are f’ing kidding me!? that’s so lame and a total disservice to those who enjoy living in areas where there arent that many hoodrats roaming around in the summer. grrr
just because the parents of those hoodrats in those neighborhoods might be rich, doesnt justify this ahhaha
but supposedly, this is gonna be a long hot violent summer according to a lot of crime theorists and astrologists/psychics
*rob*
lol.
and wtf does this mean
“city to slope, you arent poor enough!” um, yes some of us are.
*rob*
Did Rob become a roaming vigilante?
good going *Rob*….when I saw the good samaritan story of park slope guy walking his dog runs and catches thief, I knew it had to be you.
Re: Fruit stands… there’s one near my apartment. That said, does the city provide basic counseling to these vendors about ideal placement, trial-and-error, etc? It seems very clear from this article that the vendors that aren’t doing so hot haven’t placed their carts in the right spot. I know you want to build a location — so customers can expect you — but you have to know when to experiment… try tuesdays and thursdays on street X and mondays and wednesdays on street Y.
