Come the time when there is such a thing as Bed Stuy Parents, similar to PSP, I know that:
1. I made the right decision to move to the ghetto
2. My house hasse increased 300% from my original purchase price
3. There’s probably nowhere else to go to escape the lunacy.
you know what sucks about that whole egg hunt/psp thing is that any other town, USA the easter egg hunt would be something to enjoy and the kids would all have a blast
way to go psp!!!
So what exactly happened with the egg hunt? I want some leet insider infoz. So I can mock it.
Mopar, Why haven’t you submitted a photo of this bar as a tip? Jonesing for streetlevels right now!
I’m sure you’re right. Place was supposed to open in June, then December, then March.

re: opening a bar. All the planning, all the money and all the patience in the world won’t rush the opening of a bar. There are so many regulations, papers, legal issues, city issues, etc to deal with. Don’t know the area specifically but cut them some slack.
Re the mommy flipout on PSP, it’s funny, I was actually in the park on Sunday when the egg hunt was going on (and walked right through it near the 3rd st playground). I took one look and knew right away I wanted nothing to do with it. Put that many hyperparents in one place with their kids competing for little plastic things and I break out in hives. Mrs Jackal does the whole PSP thing and said I should check it out. I told her when I came back that the easter egg hunt is off our list of possible activities for future years.
That aluminum siding fest on Troutman St. is in Bushwick, not Greenpoint (the author does not clarify). It is odd how nearly every house on that street has had new siding put up in the last few months.
And is the bar, Tandem, open yet???????????????? Last weekend they had a “friends and family” opening at which beer was served, for free. They are still working out their workman’s comp. GEEEEEEEEZ.
That is a very cool shot. I thought those pigeons were cows at first and you were messing with us.
