  1. The ninnies are YOU. Bed Bugs are everywhere – they are a scourge that will be affecting all of us until some new pesticides are permitted to replace DDT which effectively eliminated bed bugs in the last century. You can avoid all the theaters you want but unless ou put yourself in a bubble you have a very good chance of getting bed bugs anyway.

  2. Rob,

No, just a second-run house that showed double features of films weeks after they finished at better theaters. I liked that it was a one minute walk and your shoes wouldn’t stick tight to the floor if you didn’t stand in the same place too long 🙂

  3. The Pavilion is increasingly coming to resemble it’s predecessor, the Sanders in general filthiness. All it needs is a sticky floor to be like the old Sanders was when I first moved around the corner in 1970. Of course, by the time I left the South Slope in ’74 it had deteriorated further; the management no longer bothered to turn off the house lights while films were playing. It may take the Pavilion several more years to descend to that level

  4. also if you think about it, strollers in theatres would also be the most common problem with carrying in the bedbugs!! ban strollers in theatres and wah-la might not be a problem anymore. bed bugs are more likely to be in the seams of strollers linens than in someones book bag or clothing. seriously.

  5. i heard about this last week from that complaining board of ninnies brooklynian… but took it with a grain of salt cuz they complain about EVERYTHING and always have an ax to grind with like every business they dont agree with.

it is kind of scary tho, and from now on i probably wont take my bag into movie theatres cuz i always lay it on another seat!!!!

the seats are cloth (they should be impermeable and sealed in leather) but the chances of getting bit are slim with so many people in there the bugs have a lot to choose from and they will most likely go after the human in the theatre who smells the ripest. so seriously, shower right before going to the movies and use a heavy odored chemical type scent/deodorant… bed begs mosdtly like natural scents and will travel further to bite and be on that person.

if you are still worried, thoroughly shake yourself out when you leave the theatre.
