the tree wasn’t pruned enough in its youth. ideally the lower branches are cut so the tree grows up to form a canopy. in the 1970s there wasn’t a whole lot of tree pruning going on in the city.
that tree is famous. It has a branch that runs straight out at 90 degrees for about 10 feet? Anybody know any info why this tree looks like that?
where’s all the yellow snow? Oh that is the day after. NOW that is classic brooklyn. Third day snow is grey and brown. More classic brooklyn. Sorry your classic brooklyn is but a fleeting moment.
