  1. This is an amazing old building that sits on the whole block on Franklin between Dean and Bergen. It is the site of the old Nassau Brewry, which went out of business some time around WWI (and, for a breif time, sold beer under the “Budweiser” label before Anheuser sued the pants off of them).

    CPC Resources, a nonprofit developer, now owns the building. Not sure why they are selling it, but I assume there are some real environmental issues in the building and soil.

    Those metalic cut outs are all over the neighborhood. I find them delightful. Does anyone know the story behind them? Have they been there for years?
