  1. benson- nice to be on the same side with you 🙂

rob- at the moment they aren’t getting fired (they’re tenured)and NYC public school kids do not screw each other by the hundreds in the stairwells.

The point is that these are teachers- they are supposed to be providing guidance and be role models. All they are at this point is an epic fail.

  2. why are two lezzie teachers who screw in a school getting fired when 100s of nyc public school kids screw each other in the stairwells to get welfare and dont get expelled? hmmmm? oh yeah, that’s right.

    *rob*

  3. You know, given that fall foliage falls every friggin’ fall, one might think that the MTA would have come up with an idea of how to cope with it. Other than posting signs saying, please excuse our lameness, that is.

  4. “YAY!!!!
    suck on this, 11217!”

Only top execs, stevieb. Not exactly Park Slope shoppers. That said, I expect bonuses to have negligible impact on the collapse.

  5. Bxgrl is right about the teachers.

Did anyone read the story about renovating the rental? Place looks nice, but I don’t understand the economics of spending $40,000 on a rental. That’s crazy. You could buy a starter apartment, then sell it later and move into something more to your liking later.

  6. “but the newspapers should just let them alone. They don’t deserve being publicly pilloried.”

Why not? And why blame the newspapers/media? The very suggestion (let alone the reality) of such a situation is a NATURALLY explosive story! The fact that so many people on this thread have commented is just one indication of that. If they didn’t want to become media fodder, perhaps they should – as you have said – did their thing AT HOME. Don’t blame the messenger.
