I have to ask, what happens to that apartment in Hong Kong featured in the NY Times if anything breaks, something slips off a guide rail or the hydraulic Murphy bed gives out? If any of the partitions moves with an electric motor or if the Murphy bed is controlled by some motor, what happens if the electricity goes out?
I like the idea of the apartment though I can imagine any cooking in there will leave a nice film on the mirrored ceilings…and if one of the partitions refuses to slide properly the owner may not be able to get at his clothes or other necessities!
Oh, well. Nice idea but very expensive and technological.
