1:07, you clearly have no experience with substance abuse treatment programs in nyc. Plenty of black and hispanic men and women are diverted to these programs from city, state, and federal probation, parole, and pre-trial entities. Whites are definitely a minority in those settings.
Fabulous picture. Great grafitti!
Full sympathies to the woman who was attacked and her neighbors. What an awful thing to have happen — no matter where you live.
Of course…this violent con who attacked that Park Slope woman was on the streets because he was put in a drug treatment program.Isnt that something? Selling drugs and he is put in a drug treatment program.Unreal.Had he been of a different nationality , they wouldnt have passed go and he would have been sent straight to jail with the key thrown away. Some things will never change. What is the plan now? Which program are they putting him in now? Simply amazing.
Forget Park Slope. We all know that crime occurs only in black neighborhoods like Crown Hghts,Bedstuy,Clinton Hill. Oops….my bad…there is also drug dealing and killings in Bayridge.Stop the presses, it was reported.Been going on for years, just that they are never caught. Very discreet in how they conduct their illegal activities. Like I always said, all kinds of crimes being committed in every neighborhood and town of good old USA.Just a matter of when or if you get caught.
During that same period (June 30, 2007 – Mar 31,2008)the S&P 500 lost 13.5%…I’d say the pension fund is doing pretty well.
You’re right tWhat. Do ya wanna tell me what the aggregate value of the portfolios is, so I can get a sense of what a $5B loss is? Probably a relatively inconsequential amount in the long haul. But yeah, the news is disturbing, so I am gonna go do a crossword puzzle at my desk, then maybe a nap in the storage closet — humble civil servant, questioning causality
From no losses to $5B, all within a month from one city. Wow!
Beautiful day in the markets, The What?
Hello Dumbasses, I know my posts have been blocked. That’s OK the end is here.. Read on…
City Pension Funds Lose Billions
http://www.nysun.com/new-york/city-pension-funds-lose-billions/80738/
In the nine months leading up to March 31, the city’s five pension funds lost a total of nearly $5 billion, or 4.4%, according to data from the city comptroller’s office. This is a far cry from projections published as recently as last month, when budget planners assumed the pension system would post no losses.
Now you know why Cops don’t give a crap about being mugged! You know why City services are getting crummy! Yep, long live the Mutant Real Estate Asset Bubble, you are done!
The What
Someday this war is gonna end…
Another reason to abolish parole.
Bad things happen in PS, only less so than in areas like Crown Heights, which has seen 11 murders this year, whereas PS has seen none.
