  1. How unbelievably cool would it be to get that tug relic, and plop it onto the roof of your house, penthouse, whatever? Make it into a look-out, rec-room, lounge, play room for the kids, spa bathroom, whatever. Love it.

  2. I thought it wasn’t possible for me to lose more respect for Acorn than I already have. For Bertha Lewis to complain about the issues of gentrification is totally at odds with Acorn’s hardly binding, pandering agreement with Ratner. It’s more than resegregation that’s going on- it’s the pushing out of entire economic levels and the destruction of entire neighborhoods. And that pushes out an entire job sector whose service industries are integral to the running of businesses and City services. The community groups that signed onto Ratner’s plan will find they have done far more damage to their constituents than Ratner himself. If Bertha Lewis wants to rant and rave about how poor and lower income people are being forced out, she should look in the mirror to see the problem.
