Traffic Calming Forum
Today, Hawthornestreet.com sponsors a forum on traffic calming options for PLG. A rep from Transportation Alternatives will speak on issues such as reducing speeding, deterring illegal truck traffic, and improving pedestrian safety. Atlantic Yards Discussion Session
Develop Don’t Destroy Brooklyn, Society for Clinton Hill, Fort Greene Association, Park Slope Neighbors, Friends and Residents of Greater Gowanus, Bears Community Garden and the South Portland Block Association are holding a meeting to discuss AY financing and the status of litigation against the project. Friends of Bill de Blasio host a community meeting to discuss the school budget cuts. Teachers, parents, advocates, and union leaders will look at the effects the cuts will have on schools.
