Jazz Night at Bargemusic
Tonight, Bargemusic presents Jeff Newell’s New-Trad Trio, which includes Jeff Newell, Saxophone; Tricia Woods, Piano; and Marcus Rojas, Tuba. They’ll perform traditional American music from Hank Williams to Cole Porter to 19th Century hymns. Thursday, 8:00 p.m. $35, $30 seniors, $20 students. Brooklyn Bridge Park Workshop
This workshop takes place at Long Island College Hospital and details plans for Pier 6 and the Atlantic Avenue gateway. The meeting is sponsored by the Atlantic Avenue Betterment Association, along with the Cobble Hill Association, the Sierra Club, the Willowtown Association, Brooklyn Vision and the Brooklyn Bridge Park Defense Fund. It is moderated by Ethan and Fred Kent of the Project for Public Places.
