  1. Nice up-to-the-minute interiors, but the building’s front looks like something circa 1959. A re-muddle job from the Eisenhower administration. Could they spare a few dollars for a little exterior restoration? The house looks awful from the street, bad stucco, no stoop, uncaring.

  2. Remodelista really does great work. But we’d like to see Francesca’s white kitchen one more time. Why she freaked out doesn’t matter. Alas, this oughtta be a nice appeasement gesture after yesterday’s mystery.

  3. I have to disagree. Even though the finishes and the things in the room are nice, it is just not attractive to gut a brownstone space and give the walls and ceilings these very plain treatments. It’s like living in an airplane hanger. It’s not appropriate. In ten years, this will look horrible. The height of the ceiling and the long, narrow rooms need something where the ceiling meets the walls to soften the space and relate it to human scale.

  4. Mr. B, you dare link to another Remodelista house without explaining the ‘missing kitchen’ 🙂

Ooooooh, but I love this house just as much. Look at the reveal around the ceiling, and the floating walls (off the floor). My heart is palpating. The stain on the floor in the first photo, deeeelicious.

I love the kitchen photo with the cat dining, and the toy shopping cart.

Oh, that white brick textured wall in the ‘office’….sexy!!!!!
