Take a Guided Tour of the Restored Kings Theatre

The recently renovated Kings Theatre reopened this February to wide acclaim. If you haven’t yet had a chance to see the 1929 movie-palace-style structure in person, now is your chance.
A guided tour of the Flatbush theater will provide both historical and architectural information about the theater’s former life and its $95,000,000 restoration.
Barely saved from the wrecking ball following its close in 1977, the Kings Theatre is a refurbished antique — one of Loew’s original five “wonder theaters.” It has featured many well-known live performers — both before and after its renovation.
The guided tour on Tuesday, August 18, will last 60 minutes, beginning under the Kings Theatre marquee at 11 a.m.
