Yogasole, a studio offering Iyengar, Ashtanga and Vinyasa styles of yoga, will open this month at 254 Windsor Place in Windsor Terrace. They’ll also house a yoga shop with “eco-friendly” products. “Along with apparel, we will also be carrying high-end, exquisite handmade jewelry that is made from natural substances and is a nod to the earth from which we’ve all come. Each piece is handcrafted and unique in its assembly and appearance, and is a gift to all who wear it,” writes owner Evalena Leedy. Opening should be next week sometime, and it’s pronounced yoga-sol-ay, by the way.

  1. Get real folks what is so important about the fence left from previous tenant?
It would cost a fortune to replace. What really counts is the studio and quality of teaching.A cross section of classes is offered to meet all levels. The classes are very good. I have only taken a few classes but have been impressed. Everyone I have spoken to seems to enjoy classes and will return for more. Be thankful to have a new Yoga studio in your neighborhood.

  2. not for nothing, but if you run a business, that fence doesn’t scream “welcome, c’mon in!”

You wouldn’t be trespassing, biff. You’d be going over to the dark side.

  3. As the owner, is Evalena Leedy allowed to legally consume alcohol behind that chrome fence or is it public property? Am I trespassing if I step on the other side of the chrome fence?

  4. Unfortunate is an excellent choice of word.

I have seen many such unfortunate fences in our favorite boro – Staten Island. Normally they are offset with lion-topped brick posts and are there to help to defend the ostentatiously shiny SUV from the hordes. They are most apposite for houses with 15-foot-tall-but-6-inch-diameter faux-columns.
