430 7th Avenue, formerly home to Bird’s South Slope boutique, will house a nail salon and spa, according to the sign in the window. Bird, meanwhile, moved to a busier spot on 316 5th Avenue between 2nd and 3rd Streets, not to mention opening the new Grand Street shop any day. GMAP

  1. So what happened?

Did the landlords lower the rent?

Or did the lure of the space was too much for the business owners to walk away from?

    ………anyone know?

  2. actually I forgot about Mazzotti music. They’re closed on mondays which seems to be the day I always want to buy stuff so I never end up going. Never heard of Fried Guitars, i’ll check it out.

HEY, not sure whether to take this as an insult or a compliment.

    Are you saying…
I look really good and it’s nice that I have many options to go to for tweaking.
    or
I look bad and it’s a good thing that all these options are available to me and I better take advantage of them.

  4. I agree Santa…it’s nice to live in a neighborhood where you really can find just about anything you want within walking distance.

Living in Park Slope makes it easy to shop local.

The guitar store is a nice idea…I’ve been wanting to buy one and teach myself…
