You guys are all silly. Walk your lazy behinds 2 blocks to Dekalb where there are plenty of coffeeshops…and Ft. Greene does not need a Starbucks. If that’s what you want move to the upper west side.
Ah, the coffee in Ft Greene/Clinton Hill discussion…there is definitely a shortage of good coffee shops in the neighborhood. Outpost is by far the best tasting coffee in the hood, but as you say its a bit of a hike from this location. My second choice is Smooch, then Bittersweet, then Tillies.

For the Fort Greene- Clinton Hill coffee connoisseurs, Bidonville on Willoughby between Clermont and Adelphi serves a delicious brew and sells Choice muffins and other goodies without a wait.
Ah, that is Park Slope effete coffee squaring off against Williamsburg effete coffee!
Frankly, I’d take either on Fulton. There’s Provisions… but they don’t open that early, plus, their counter staff annoy me because they always give you dirty looks if you don’t bring your own recyclable hemp bag. And Outpost (which I’ve only read about) is too far away.

It’s okay. We all have our issues. Pro-Starbucks is just one of mine. I’d be just as happy if Oslo opened a branch. Is that better?
I know, I know. They’ve done some ok things. I still have it out for them though. Long story.
I haven’t set foot in one for 18 months now. Not even in desperate situations where I needed to piss like a racehorse.
