StreetLevel: New Place to Fake Bake Coming to Smith
Workers are busy fixing up the storefront on Smith near the corner of President that’ll eventually house a tanning salon. Lost City had a post a few weeks ago about the space’s former tenant, Armando Tailor and Dry Cleaner, that described the tailor as an “old-school craftsman.” GMAP

For the record my favorite one is in Park Slope, on 7th Avenue. LOL
i think that’s the one 11217 always raves about!

oh fuck it Rob, i’ll admit to going to the tanning salon. tanning beds have come a long way from florescent tubes. Those are the cheapo bulbs that burn and create orangey skin. Unfortunately, they are still in every salon, but the higher end more pricey beds do yield a very natural looking tan w/o burn. For the record my favorite one is in Park Slope, on 7th Avenue. LOL
no there is nothing attractive about an orange skin color. NOTHING! fake orange tans are one of the things that has RUINED modern day professional pornography. that at the men who sculpt their pubes in the shape of a teeny tiny V. wtf?
*rob*
It’s called “Fake N Bake” and yes, a lot of people go to them! Pasty white vs orangey tan is a close call.
Shouting out to Vanessa…where are you girl!?!?
bivouac – i was thinking along the same lines! either they are going to do banging business or else (and i suspect more likely) people in CG really don’t mind rocking the pasty look.
I live in CG. Trust me, there’s plenty of business for a tanning salon on Smith St., unfortunately.
