Streetlevel: New Middle Eastern Joint Coming to Myrtle
A new Middle Eastern restaurant of some sort is slated for the former Crab Inn space at 407 Myrtle Avenue. From what we’re hearing, the owner of the building is also behind the restaurant. Anyone know more details?

Is it possible that the former owner of Layla is reopening?
Behind that garbage of a storefront construction is a very nice store front with details and all! The wood was unfinished when I caught it open, but looked very nice, old school style. The guy I spoke with wasn’t sure what style of food would be served. He hinted at Pizza or Middle Eastern or Soul Food. Inside there was a grill area and a serving area, not much seating.
Maybe they’ll have Jerk Chicken Pitza. hmmm
Thanks. I get my skanky awnings confused.
I believe the Garden became Vespers.
Nope. “The Garden” was down between Hall St. and Steuben, across from the Associated and next to the Korean vegetable stand. This place was something like “Bob Law’s Crab Inn” or “The Crab Shack” or something similar.
Is this the place that used to be “The Garden” (I think it was called), back in the day?
I agree with Randolph.
i am glad a restaurant is coming here, but why would you want to compete with zaytoons, black iris and kif? maybe they’ll have another spin on it?
