This new signage for a soon-to-open veterinary clinic called Brooklyn Cares at 944 Fulton Street between St. James and Cambridge popped up at the end of last week. The clinic, which will specialize in holistic medicine for small animals (in addition to doing all the standard vet stuff), is slated to open on April 1. The website’s not live yet but you can reach them by calling 718-783-5500 or by emailing tim@brooklyncaresvet.com. It’s really great to see a new business (and peppy signage) in this heretofore forlorn stretch of Fulton Street. Good luck to them! GMAP
Oh my God. Run Run Run like the wind. This is the Tim Mann from Northside. This guy is a real piece of work, a real cocky jerk. I wasn’t sure at first if it was him at this new vet office but I know now (he introduces himself in a caption above) what a shame. If anyone needs or wants traditional or complimentary medicine for there pets then just go see Dr. Danny Leiman and his wife. They are not just out of school and sure wont pretend to know whats wrong. This Mann guy almost killed my pet and I ended up at NYC emergency. Shame Shame. Stem cell therapy? Doesnt that takes years to learn? Phony. Makes me want to move off the block!!!
My cat licks his balls all day, I am actually kinda jealous.
Hello! I am the veterinarian opening Brooklyn Cares Veterinary Clinic. I am excited to be a part of this community and I can’t wait to meet each and everyone of you. I know some of you have latched onto the “holistic” side of my clinic, but this is just one aspect of the many services that Brooklyn Cares Veterinary Clinic will provide. Not only will we have traditional vaccines, medicines and diagnostics, but we will have a ultrasound as well as a full laboratory so blood work will only take minutes. Not only that, we will have state of the art equipment that will allow you to access your pet records from anywhere. There are many aspects of Brooklyn Cares that will make us unique. Please feel free to call or email me to discuss.
Our website will be http://www.brooklyncaresvet.com
Here is a blurb about our care:

This approach is an exciting, dynamic process. We combine these methods with modern cutting edge technology to create an exciting, dynamic process that gives your pet the best possible care.
Brooklyn Cares has state of the art equipment and a friendly professional staff. Every animal is treated with compassion, patience, love and respect. Please call and let us demonstrate our unique medical expertise. House calls are available upon request.
Again, I cannot tell you how excited I am to meet all of you. We will have saturday and sunday hours and a veterinarian will always be around to help.
I’m so excited that there are new businesses opening on Fulton. I love watching this neighborhood change! I know that with good coffee at Outpost, great french and vegetarian food nearby, a health food store, wine shop and an open minded vet in the neighborhood that only good things will come to this section of clinton hill. for all you naysayers, why don’t you just try this new clinic and see for yourselves before bashing something before it even opens?
If this is the Dr. Tim from Williamsburg…All I can say is BEWARE! Young, cocky and in-experienced! Missed diagnosed my baby and we ended up at emergency in NY. I was so dissapointed in my veterinarian for hiring him that I wasn’t going back! At least this means I can safely return to our Williamsburg vet. Try him if you want? But I did my good deed this week by warning you.
thanks for the suggestions guys 🙂

— fyi the stoner meet tonight was great! i bet some of you guys are still there hahaha
If anyone uses this new vet i hope you’ll post comments. i just moved around the corner from and will need a vet for my beagle. Hope it’s good and i can support a local business.
A third endorsement of Dr.Maddon here. I’ve used him when he worked for Dr. Silverman and after he opened his own practice.
PS: I second Dr. Maddon as well. He used to work at PPAC and broke off to open his own practice. Both he and Silverman dealt with my Pit, no problem.
