Streetlevel: New Retail Space for 395 Classon Avenue
After buying the 3,000-square-foot corner building at 395 Classon Avenue for $1,300,000 last February, the new owner has put some dough into rehabbing the storefront. As far as we know it’s not rented out yet. Any ideas for what would work there? GMAP

A “Coming Soon” sign just went up right next door (next to the staircase on the far left of that photo on Classon) for a restaurant called El Pilar. I think it says it’s a “Cuban Eatery”, maybe not the exact wording.
It would be great to get a Mexican restaurant in the hood or a Bagel store!!!
YES, a Health Food store or Joya type Thai restaurant would be Great!!! 🙂
How about a health food store, pharmacy, or a thai restaurant? No one will move there for $8000.00 a month especially in these times. Choices is right around the corner so a coffee shop/cafe is sort of redundant. If pressed, every bodega on the corner offers some of the finest coffee (smile) for .50- .75 cents.
A coffee shop/ cafe, a bagel spot, a book store.
A construction worker told me that the space was going to be a restaurant.
If I had to venture a guess, I’d say $2,250-$3,000/mo. You will see many different real estate signs over the next 2 years if the expectations are at $8,000/mo.

In that neighborhood a business would be lucky to support more than $3,000.
