Marlow & Daughters, the spin-off butcher shop from the folks behind Diner, Marlow and Bonita, is now open! The shop, which is located at 95 Broadway in Williamsburg, is the first in New York City that will sell exclusively grass-fed meat. The shop will also complement the Diner gang’s philosophy of using every part of the animal. Bring it on!

  1. OMG, grassfed meat grocery on the subway line home, I am totally doing my monthly meat shopping there. Thank you, Brownstoner.

Also, if anyone cares, ate at a new restaurant in Williamsburg today and it was great. El Almacen, corner Driggs and N.7. Entrees about $12 to $17. The spinach salad and short ribs were really good, exceptional actually. BYOB and cash for now.

And you’ll love the decor. Old-timey Argentinian country general store is the theme, the owner said. It has that cute Williamsburg Moon River Chattel look with old-fashioned gold lettering on the windows. Owner said it took them nine months to rehab it.
