Located where Mikey’s Deli used to be, the gut renovated space will have its grand opening on Valentine’s Day, and may be open sooner depending on when the final permits come through. According to the owner, the cafe, which can seat up to 30, will serve a mix of crepes, belgian waffles, paninis and salads in addition to requisite coffee and teas. GMAP
Best of Luck to both of you. I hope it’s a huge success. Can’t wait to go. Good Luck Kathy & Joe Sirchia
Not only am I glad to see Gialeti’s Cafe open, but also to whine about neighborhood borders! I propose that we honor anything that’s actually between Windsor Pl. and the freeway (i.e. East of 7th where Windsor ends) as “Windsor Terrace”, in addition to the obvious East of PPW border. And calling it “Park Terrace” or “North Greenwood” should definitely be off the list.
real glad to see more openings in this area, we need and they all seem to grow their traffic with time.
looking at the photo i think it is about time that parkslope has come to the south slope. The south slope sure needs it !!
They’ll get a lot of early morning foot traffic from the nearby schools.
I with them well.
I think they’re doing a ‘soft’ opening…. saw a bunch of people in there last weekend, and they were serving at least coffee.
Always happy to have new neighborhood places in S. Slope/Park Terrace/North Greenwood. But these isolated corner places need to be a draw. Not enough casual foot traffic if you are not on 5th, 7th or PPW. I wish them luck but they will need it to do the needed volume to survive.
“Gialeti’s”
Oh great. More paninis.
