Marius Cafe, on the corner of Henry and Union, was closed by the Department of Health in April, but promptly worked out some issues and reopened. Now, the sign on the door says that they’re closed for renovations until September 1. However, the sign also says, “Gone Fishing,” so there’s a chance that the extended renovation period will also allow the owners time for some summertime R&R. GMAP

  1. This place has closed about 4 times this year for serveral reasons. With theexcpetion of about two-3 employees who work there, the whole place needs gasoline and a match – I had never seen 10 people take a half an hour to make a toasted bagel until I went to this place.

They keep changing names, themes, furniture, employees, and their selection of ornery old men roosting outside with even crankier dogs. One time we got to watch two employees fight. It’s more of a furniture dump with occasional food.
