Sushi it ain’t! When the Blue Ribbon General Store opens later this month at the corner of State and Bond Streets, Boerum Hillers will find an eclectic array of household items within their reach. Longtime Brooklynite Ann Lopatin describes her new venture as a “modern general store for a well-lived life, combining the charm of a country general store with the sophistication of a modern city lifestyle.” Look for an ever-changing mix of merch (books, pillows, games) as well as in-store events. The “soft opening” is this Thursday and the store will officially launch with a party on October 17. GMAP
