Self-described “Gringo-Mex” eatery San Loco has moved further out into Brooklyn along the J train, this photo from a Brownstoner reader shows. The latest branch of the popular East Village, Lower East Side, and Williamsburg spot opened at 582 Bushwick Avenue in Bushwick in February.
It has tacos, limited seating and takeout, but not, alas, the frozen drinks for which San Loco is known because of space constraints, a worker told Brownstoner when we called.
The diminutive outpost is the fourth New York City location and second in Brooklyn. San Loco opened in the East Village in 1986. It will have plenty of company in Bushwick, where taquerias and cantinas abound.
