With Buka hopefully opening soon at 946 Fulton and the scaffolding up at 940 Fulton, this block could really be in turnaround. GMAP
There is a barbershop in the old brown betty spot…so much for the creperie.
Cool!
there’s also the Creperie that’s going into the old Brown Betty place on Grand between Fulton and Lefferts Place
Sounds pretty solid to me. Thanks 1842.
The Michael Allen owners were the ones that told me that the place on Grand at the triangle would be a bar – they said they had talked to the owners of the new business and that they already run another place in Brooklyn somewhere on 4th or 5ht avenue. This is all second hand so who know how accurate it is. I wouldn’t be surprised if TheLocal had the exact location wrong.
thanks 1842–reading that article they mention the Fulton Grand Bar opening up on Fulton by Downing, so maybe not the space on the triangle we were thinking. I thought it was going to be what used to be the plumbing office and the empty space next to that on the northeast corner of Grand and Fulton.
Mr. B–you must have something on this no?
Here’s TheLocal post that I saw. It refers to Buka and a place they’re calling the Fulton Grand Bar.
I heard more about it from Michael Allen bakery…

Haha–1842 and I are in synch.
Great news. Sounds like it could be Latin food?
With this, Buka and the new place to open on Grand between Fulton and Putnam, it looks like some momentum is building to use some underutilized or empty commercial spaces.
