  1. Whaddya mean spend “that money”. $300K – thats not money!!!

Plus I’d take half a drafty Victorian any day over one of those hermetically-sealed new buildings that are as dry as the desert and give me sinus problems.

  2. huh. like and ditmas and the victorians, but if i was going to spend that money i think i’d put it n one of the coops in the area, or (gasp!) some of the more pedestrian new condos – you can get same price per s.f. and have a lot more control over your space, and not have to worry about drafts, roof issues and other concerns that come with some of these old houses. which, again, i would be happy to put up with if i owned the whole victorian, or even if i was renting the space.

  3. What a great idea to make condos out of those huge sprawling Ditmas Park (or Bay Ridge’s Shore Road) houses. In cities in other parts of the country that’s being done with great success. Like in Atlanta, and in St. Paul in the Summit Avenue old railroad baron mansions.
