hasidic jews only sell to other hasidic jews. White people have been doing this for decades. They just don’t talk about it but you see it in the neighborhood dynamics.
The black community is one of the only communities without generation wealth in NYC. a chinese owner in chinatown wouldn’t dare sell to a non chinese. These women are trying to keep the wealth in the community rather then give it away to the highest bidder increasing gentrification but not benefiting the predominately black neighborhood because the black residents rent instead of own.
