I think there’s areas in eastern Crown Heights, E.N.Y. and Brownsville that could use affordable housing instead of super expensive areas.
My other issue with affordable housing is it’s the same players who qualify and end up gobbling up the units. It’s usually those who remain in low paying jobs in order to keep their other benefits.
What about the young college graduates who can only find jobs as managers in department stores or hotels.
Any adult whose been in New York their entire life and makes between $15-$25k has other issues.
