  1. My understanding is that if you buy mostly organic/free range/etc.., then the co-op prices can’t be beat.

    I would never join, unless perhaps my wife agreed to do both of our shifts.

  2. The co-op is not the democracy they claim. If it were, a majority of the members think the work schedules should be cut back because so much of it is ‘make work’ w/ the huge membership they have.

  3. BHS- I am sure every Park Slope member believes the sun rises and falls on the co-op’s mood.

    Did think the gas chamber reference was way over the top but I have yet to read anything about the co=-op that isn’t aswirl with hyperbole.

    On the other hand, telling the co-op to boycott Israeli goods is ridiculous. Their members are all adults, they can decide for themselves what they want to buy.

  4. One of the anti-boycott people tried to tie the boycott to the very survival of Israel and then made a gas chamber comparison.

    I wonder how many people realizes the key role Park Slope Food Coop plays in the rise and fall of nations and peoples.
