  1. everyone has their standards of beauty- they’re all different, all wonderful. No one is better than another. I think every culture believes theirs is the most beautiful. the world has seen far too much xenophobia. Native Americans refer to themselves as “Human Beings” linguistically as opposed to others.

It’s always wonderful to see when people and cultures create bridges with each other, and appreciate their differences instead of fearing them. Part of that is letting go of the “my way/culture/history/religion” is better than yours mindset we’ve lived with for so long. Who knows? Maybe there’s hope for us all yet.

  2. Miss Chiff…why you little bit&h!!!

You don’t think I know what your trying to do….Trying to incriminate me with your first and third lines!

    Biff, it’s 7:13pm, go home.
While I’m in my office away from home all alone working late 😉

  3. MM – no pardons required.
Believe it or not. We haven’t been to India yet. Somehow traveling always is seems to to evade us. One day, I will get there and I too will be carting back a ship load full of exotic treasures.

  4. Biff: The only good Indian is home cooked Indian. My mother-in-law and sisters-in-law are the best cooks!

Indian in Brooklyn? You can try south Asian (pakistani) in Littel Pakistan on Coney Island Avenue. (Good Afghani there too.) Near Ditmas Ave.

In the city, there is a place on 22nd off Park that is good. Can’t remember the name right now.

For those with Cablevision – Namaste America for a quick Bollywood fix. Channel 73, or there abouts, on weekends.

  5. Whoops, BRG, I apologize for giving THL credit for your clip. A thousand pardons!

I love Bollywood movies and music videos. Way back when, I had a 3 week job in London, and I discovered Indian music videos. I was hooked! Some of the most beautiful men and women I’ve ever seen were in those videos. I don’t know why Westerners think they’ve got a lock on physical beauty, because the rest of the world is certainly equal to the task, if not better.

If I’m ever able to go to India, I hope I have the bucks, because I’ll have to send a container back to the States full of furniture, fabrics, architectural salvage, and assorted household stuff. My list is pretty long of things I would love to have.
