pine-box-rock-shop-0610.jpgThe blog BushwickBK has the skinny on a new drinking and music venue set to open in the wilds of Bushwick next month. Set in an old casket factory, the new establishment will be called, appropriately, the Pine Box Rock Shop. The space is being built out with salvaged materials and the bar will feature 16 beers on tap. Presumably there aren’t a lot of neighbors to complain about noise either. GMAP

  1. I’m totally with you DH. For a few years now the demand for good places to eat/drink/hangout in Morgantown has far exceeded the supply. This place looks and sounds cool, so I think it’s going to do very well, but even if it turns out to be a shithole they’ll still probably get enough business to stay afloat.

  2. Good location – right in the center of all the Morgantown action. Surprised more stuff hasn’t opened up around here sooner, especially since there’s stuff further out in Bushwick, Ridgewood and down on Broadway in the Bushwick/Williamsburg/Bed Stuy DMZ (Bodega on Broadway and DeKalb is pretty cool).
