Move Over Hell's Angels, Rebbe's Riders Are Here

For the latest motorcycle gang in town, hell is the last thing on its riders’ minds. The Brooklyn Ink has a story this week about Rebbe’s Riders, a growing gang of Chabad-Lubavitchers who head out to the highway to spread their faith. For example, last April the annual caravan of loudspeaker-toting trailers had their own motorcycle escort through Crown Heights as their tried to drum up excitement for the upcoming Passover holiday. And why not? “In Chabad you have to go with what’s popular and try and use any way possible—that’s allowed by Jewish law—to bring people closer to Judaism,” said Eli Zisman, the head of the Rebbe’s Riders in upstate New York.
