the NYPD arrested a 17 yr old kid, Malik Peters, in the killing of Armani. The whole thing appears to be gang related. Mr. Peters resides in the public housing in Fort Greene. In your area, there has been 8 deaths so far this year compared to 2 last year. As the area councilwoman who fought hard against stop and frisk, can you please lay out a clear, effective and proven vision on how you plan to tackle all the violence and shootings in your area and help stop additional killings of African American men?
My thoughts exactly instead of hanging out the other end of Fulton street by McDonalds and Applebees he should have been up the block at Brooklyn law interning after school. That is someone who is looking to change their lives!!!

Hey parents, pay attention to your kids. While you thought your son planned on becoming a lawyer, he ended up being a gang member. And most likely he would have ended up being a gang leader in a couple of years.
This kid lives in Queens – What is he doing in Fort Greene on a school night. Shouldn’t he be at home doing homework? Parents really need to start paying attention to their kids. And if you don’t have the time to take care of your kids, then don’t have kids.
