Hi denton! – still in Fla but leaving today.
Lifer- no, Dreamland was an old Victorian park in Coney Island- they had places like Luna Park, Steeplechase Park, Dreamland, etc. I was never clear on if these were whole sections or specific rides and amusements.

What a silly post by Gothamist, echoing the article in the NYT today. While fixed gear track bikes do not technically have brakes, they are controlled by reverse pressure on the pedals and more interesting maneuvers. That’s why there were no pileups, duh!
