What About Wegmans? [CH Blog]

Yea, Wegmans is pretty decent. It has a varied selstion of stuff, and the fishmongers dept. is normally good too as the previous poster stated.
there is a wegmans on rt. 9 in marlboro-manalapan where my sister lives and the place is awesome
great bakery-butcher-fish monger
great store with great selection
there is no way price chopper and wegmans are even in the same league. Price Chopper is more like a stop and shop while wegmans is more like a stew leonard’s – although I think the top store out of this list would be Stew’s.
I must be visiting the wrong Prce Choppers. I go to the 2 in and around Saratoga, and while they’re better than your average NYC market, I think they’re pretty standard for markets around the US.
The next nearest Wegman’s is in Woodbridge, NJ. I wonder how that one is.
Wegmans? I prefer the upstate chain Price Chopper which is also upscale and priced better than Wegmans. The reality is that it’s not ecconomical for a chain to ship to the city from far away warehouses, or open a local warehouse for one store. Also the costs of operating here are far higher than Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse or Scranton.
