Maybe if the transit workers union would agree to say, a 5% across the board salary cut or a slight increase in the amount they pay for healthcare, the layoffs would have been unnecessary. Like in the real world.
But, NO, unions cannot think like that. They get what they deserve. Remember the transit strike, well, it has come back to haunt you.
