W 4th st, 9th ave @ 19th, Front st. (DUMBO), East village and Vanderbilt. Have a long history of playing with ownership and company legal name to avoid paying purveyors. Don’t know about recently, but also did not have a good history with the DOH either.
They had two- one in the East Village (e. 5th and Ave. B) and one on Vanderbilt. Closed the E. Vil. location recently. Personally I love the place- will make a great addition to Franklin.
Where was Le Gamin originally? West Village?
TD – living specifically in NYC is a basic need tho.

he was worried it would shine too brightly into the windows of the new townhouses he has built right there
and neither is “affordable housing” with granite countertops on the waterfront.

Eating at a restaurant is not a basic need.

There is no way le Gamin is getting get a drinks license from CB1 unless they promise an affordable menu item section.
u know, that’s actually a great idea. they do it for housing (which is a basic need!) why not also do it for food (which is also a basic need!). Of course im SURE, much like affordable housing, there will be greased pockets and favoritism and nepotism when it comes to who gets to actually sit at the affordable tables. oh yeah, and the people sitting at the unaffordable (market rate dining) tables will be paying even HIGHER absurd prices than if the free market were to take it’s course.

“affordable menu???” Just add a few packs of chips and some Entenmann’s like people buy from a bodega.
20% sound fair, dittoburg?
